The ring features an intricately carved blacktourmeline in the “forma livre” (free form) style. Haroldo Burle Marx was particularly known for his use of large gemstones. The Forma Livre shape is often fashioned by carving or tumbling the gemstone,a technique invented by Haroldo Burle Marx in 1948. The tourmaline measures 17*14.mm. Bezel set in a brushed 18 karat gold setting.
