The wrapped heart design was commissioned by Hollywood legend Tyrone Power, who asked the Duke to “gift wrap” his heart to give his wife Annabella on Christmas, 1941. The resulting “Wrapped” Heart Brooch design celebrates its 75th anniversary this year and endures as one of the most iconic pieces of Verdura’s collection. The brooch has been fitted with a snap-bale allowing it to be worn as a pendant. 33 oval cabochon Burmese rubies weigh 58.68 carats, 189 diamonds weigh 3.26 carats.
